This article presents a reflection about two traditional neighborhoods in São Paulo city: Bela Vista and Parque Peruche. We looked at the samba schools’ organization Vai-Vai and Unidos do Peruche; so they are opening up new possibilities for the understanding of sociability and sense of locality. The delimitation has guided us to understand the dynamism between samba schools’ social relationships and their neighborhood
