Continuous systems are compared with a step system. The influences of parasitic series and coupling resistances are examined. Methods of decreasing these parasitic resistances are considered. Relays are being used to eliminate the errors of these effects. When no relays are used a decrease in the effect of the parasitic resistances is obtained by switching in condensers or inductors instead of resistors in an LC system as part of an oscillator circuit. Some considerations on design are given.
