After some investigation into an estate dedicated to St Moluag, a contemporary of St Columba, Mr Innes was able to view the saint's crozier that is currently owned by the Duke of Argyll. He describes the crozier itself and goes on to discuss the use and importance of such artefacts within the medieval church. Mr Robertson then builds on Mr Innes' work by discussing the croziers of other saints found across Scotland.
