A description of a Saxon Cross found in Hoddam, Dumfriesshire when the ancient church there was being taken down, which was exhibited to Society fellows. Of interest was that the cross was built with materials that previously had other uses. The author suggested that the object provides a good counterpart to the Runic Cross of Ruthwell, which comes from the same area, because they added to the small number of examples of Saxon remains in Scotland. There follows a list of other items exhibited at the same time as the cross.
