Diabetic Nephropathy (DN), a serious complication of Type 2 Diabetic Mellitus (T2DM), is progressive and susceptibility to DN varies among T2DM patients. ApoA5-1131T>C polymorphism revealed that is strongly associated with triglyceride levels and proposed as a predisposing factor for DN.
