Dermatoglyphics is the study on edpidermal ridges on the palmar and plantar surfaces of the feet and hand. Embryological development of orodental structures and these dermal patterns occur during the same period. The environmentally influenced genetic predisposition is found in different types of malocclusions. This malocclusion should also exhibit different dermal patterns which are unique for each class.
