Cultural development is one of the most significant factors for the progress of a country. Art, art education along with music and music education which are among the most important parts of art play a significant role in this development. This study aims to compare the institutions providing music education in Turkey and South Korea, and to identify their similarities and differences. In this regard, institutions and organizations which provide formal and common music education in both countries have been examined and compared. This is a qualitative study which aims to compare institutions providing music education in Turkey and South Korea, and to identify their similarities and differences. The data of the study have been collected through literature review and document analysis. The collected data have been interpreted and analyzed with content analysis method. As a result, it has been detected that music education in both countries has no significant difference in terms of structure but there are some differences in the implementation.
