A collection of thalassinid shrimp was obtained from intertidal and subtidal habitats of islands and bays of the Mexican tropical Pacitic. The material consists of five species, including Axianassa mineri Boone, 1931, a species that had not been recorded since the original description. A new species, Biffarius debilis, was discovered and represents the fourth species of this genus and the first in the American Pacific.
