The potential between two nucleons suggested by K. C. Wang, viz. V=V(r)=-Aeklr for r≥a, V=V(a) for r<a, is applied to find (1) the wave function of the ground state ot the deuteron by the method of numerical integration, (2) the cross section of the neutron-proton scattering, and (3) the cross-section of the photo-disintegration of the deuteron by γ-rays. The results of calculation or the cross-sections are in fair agreement with the experimental values.
