In this paper, the M_T curves, ESR, Infrared and Raman spectra, ρ_T cu rves and MR_T curves of La067-xSmxSr033MnO 3 (x=000, 010, 020, 030) are studied. The experimental results ind icate that with increasing Sm content, the compound undergoes a transition from long_range ferromagnetic order to the cluster_spin glass state, and further to a ntiferromagnetic order. The variation in magnetic structure and extra magnetic c oupling caused by Sm doping lead to colossal magnetoresistance effect.
