A new method, which involves measurement of the piezoelectricity by nuclear quadrupole resonance spectrometer,is proposed. The spectral intensity of a quartz crystal versus the strength of the excitation pulse, the pulse width and the resonance offset is studied in detail. The experimental results demonstrate that the piezoelectric resonance signal originating from samples located tens of centimeter away from the probe may be detected in a time scale of seconds. This technique provides potential for more extensive investigation and application of the piezoelectric materials.
