The boson realization model with Fermi resonances is used for explaining both stretching and bending vibrational spectra in methane. The interactions between stretching and bending vibrations are described by Td symmetric Fermi resonance terms that couple one creation (or annihilation) operator of stretching vibrations with two annihilation (or creation) operators of bending ones. This model provides a ten-parameter fit to the published experimental vibrational- eigenvalues of methane with the root-mean-square energy deviation 12.38cm.
