In this paper, a magnetostaric multipole with a control vector is studied. The relation between the symmetry transformation of this multipole and that of its M-tunction is derived. A rigorous, general and simple method for deriving the constraints of the symmetry group of this multipole on its harmonic potentials has beenset up.
