The paper considers dynamics of formation and development of polygraph-using investigations (PUI) at the Department "Information Security" and Regional Training and Research Centre "Security" (RUNTS) in BMSTU. These studies are conducted to make diagnose that a person conceals information on the past events. The paper describes creating a unique lecture and laboratory module in PUI at the Department in 2008. It shows RUNTS activities in 2008-2015, giving assistance to public authorities to use the PUI and, in particular, providing assistance to Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the advanced training of specialists in PUI and developing a "Typical technique for forensic psychophysiological expertise using a polygraph" for them. The paper shows that the educational process carried out by the Department is reconciled with RUNTS works in the field concerned
