The issue of personal potential mobilization to solve the problems in future professional activities of the University graduates with self-control method is discussed. The implementation of the competence approach in the higher education system is associated with the search and use of methods and techniques for effective independent study. The purpose of our research is to determine the place of self – control method in the learning process. The study and questionnaire revealed a low level of self-control development and its rare use in the learning process.
