Background and Objective: A Hypertensive disorder of pregnancy is an important cause of maternal mortality and preeclampsia. The present study is centered on the concept that a derangement if any, in the oxidant antioxidant equilibrium during Pregnancy Induced Hypertension, Preeclampsia and Eclampsia.Conclusion: In PIH, Preeclampsia and Eclampsia there is an imbalance between lipid peroxides and the antioxidant system.
