Background and Objective: The relationship between elevation of serum lipids and vascular complication of diabetes has long been of interest .The aim of present study was to investigate the relationship between the lipid profiles and its complications in different types of diabetes at different age. Conclusions: Diabetes Mel1itus has real impact on lipid metabolism which was substantiated by the fact that all the lipid fractions were elevated in diabetics when compared to healthy controls. So hyperlipidemia is quite common in diabetes.
