The objective of this paper is to analyze the different facets of competitiveness. The search for competitiveness may concern, in fact, different dimensions (i.e. system, sector, district, until a single company).\udThe methodology was to analyse some of the major theoretical contributions to try to catch the different practical implications that can affect companies and the local context in which they operate. Through the issue of competitiveness, it may reflect on, in fact, some important links with the processes of organizational change, investment in quality, invisible assets, human resources, environmental sustainability and development of the territory. This with the intent to improve the Made in Italy competitiveness. These reflections, that had found evidence in activities made in other territorial realities, may be subject to further verification with the investigations carried out in the field.\udDetermination of the different facets of competitiveness highlights the need to overcome organizational boundaries and develop the ability to collaborate, to “do network” by the various stakeholders. The reflections obtained will be able to find significant results through further field testing.\udPractical implications. The paper highlights the operational tools, such as, for example, the evolved cultural district that it\udmay allow development of the “product” territory, in order to promote competitiveness.\udThe analysis of different facets of the “competitiveness prism” may allow an increase in the identification of competitive variables
