In 2020, Latin America experienced its deepest economic and social crisis in several decades. The most significant event to affect Latin American economies was the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this article is to analyze the main economic trends, which occurred in the Latin American countries and became noticeable in 2020, as well as to indicate forecasts for 2021.
