Numerous scientific studies have shown that physical activity has a positive effect on the health of modern people. Exercise for health is one of the main contents on which the promotion of fitness is based. The fitness industry rapidly develops and creates more and more money. The term health fitness is often misused because of the increased profit. In practice, there are more and more programs that have the prefix health, but they are essentially classic marketing. The aim of this paper is to point out to the incorrect and uncritical interpretation of health fitness. There are three examples that illustrate the ability to manipulate people who do not understand what health fitness is. Lumbal syndrome (back pain), osteoporosis and action of so-called hormones of happiness were analyzed.
