La universidad es una institución que tiene más de ocho siglos de antigüedad. En la mayor parte de su historia, si no en toda, favoreció la desigualdad de género y de etnia, excluyendo durante siglos a las mujeres y a las minorías étnicas y relegándolas más recientemente a posiciones subalternas. Este artículo se centra en la desigualdad de clases sociales, que lógicamente intersecta con las otras. The university is an institution that is more than eight centuries old. For most of its history, if not all, it favored gender and ethnic inequality, excluding women and ethnic minorities for centuries and relegating them more recently to subordinate positions.
