Archivo histórico de José María Otero Navascués en la biblioteca del Centro de Física “Miguel A. Catalán”

17 págs. ; 8 figs. ; 1 tab.La biblioteca del Centro de Física “Miguel A. Catalán” (CFMAC) posee documentos de archivo de José María Otero Navascués. Dichos documentos contienen trabajos científicos y correspondencia personal e institucional de Otero, durante los años 1944-1948 cuando era responsable de la Sección de Óptica del Instituto “Alonso de Santa Cruz”, que posteriormente se convirtió en el Instituto de Óptica “Daza de Valdés”, del que Otero fue su primer Director durante 20 años. Estos documentos, debidamente custodiados en la biblioteca del CFMAC pero sin visibilidad alguna, nos han impulsado a tomar la decisión en 2013 de crear el Archivo de la biblioteca del CFMAC y darlos a conocer, haciendo una descripción de los mismos en el catálogo colectivo de bibliotecas y archivos del CSIC para su conocimiento y difusión. El contenido del fondo se basa en borradores de trabajo, correspondencia y fotografías, que junto con otros documentos producidos en el Instituto, quieren salir a la luz para enriquecer el conocimiento que se tiene de este periodo histórico de Otero y de la Institución.The library of "Miguel A. Catalan” Physics Center (CFMAC) has documents from the archive of José María Otero Navascués. These documents contain scientific papers and personal correspondence of Otero, during the years 1944-1948 when he was responsible for the Section of Optics "Alonso de Santa Cruz” Institute, which later became the Institute of Optics "Daza de Valdés", institution of which Otero was its first Director for 20 years. These documents, kept in the library but without any visibility, have been responsible for taking the decision to create the archive in the CFMAC library and make them known. They are described as well in the the CSIC general catalog of libraries and archives network for their information and dissemination. The documentation includes working drafts, correspondence and photographs of Jose María Otero Navascués. We want to disseminate and increase the visibility of these and other documents produced in the Institute, in order to enrich the knowledge we have of this period of history of Otero and of the Institution.Peer reviewe
