This article seeks to analyze the dynamics of innovation in the economy. It analyzes the economic structure and social\udconditions involved in promoting technological progress and innovations. The economic structure is considered against\udthe requirements of the innovator and the accumulation of capabilities dedicated to innovation. The social conditions\udare analyzed using the role of institutions in the innovation process. There is increasing effort to develop technological,\udscientific and innovative in recent years in Brazil, however, this effort is still generating codified and not tacit knowledge,\udit is centralized in public spending and universities.
