This contribution introduces a subproject under the larger Modern Muslim Subjectivities Project (MMSP), which investigates how Islamic universities in the West facilitate the education and formation of young individuals with reference to their professional and social adult lives. The investigation takes its point of departure in field observations, participation, interviews with faculty members and students as well as textual analyses at two institutions: Zaytuna College in Berkeley, California, US, and Cambridge Muslim College in the UK.
