"The Conversion of the Copts to Christianity and the Origin of Their Written Language and Translations of the Bible". This introductory article deals with the issue of why Egypt's Christians in the fourth and fifth centuries caused the Bible to be translated into a large number of Coptic dialects, connecting the issue with the history of the dissemination of Christianity in Egypt.
