This paper approaches how to achieve important energy and water savings and improve the service level of ornamental fountains by implementing various technologies. It is proposed to implement an automatic anemometric control system to run the water features that will enable running times to be increased and reduce water wastage. It is proposed to regulate the pumps using variable speed drives to obtain major energy savings.A remote control system is considered to monitor the main working parameters, to inform of events and set alarms and program and check the state of the equipment, optimise the energy control of the pumps, and be able to know the increase in operating times of the fountain provided by the automatic anemometric control.A procedure is set out to calculate the energy and water savings achieved by incorporating the proposed technologies. Finally, an actual case of implementing these systems in ornamental fountains is set out, providing the information on the energy savings obtained and an analysis of the returns on the investment. Keywords: Ornamental fountain, anemometric control, variable speed drive, remote control, energy efficiency, service level
