The long-spacings of the compounds methyl stearate, ethyl stearate, n -butyl stearate, 2-non-adecanone, n -eicosane, n -hexatriacontane and n -tetratetracontane have been examined as a function of temperature by means of low-angle x-ray diffraction. The intensity of the long-spacing was also determined versus temperature. The effect of annealing temperature and time was examined by means of the DSC. Dielectric loss was studied in two crystalline phases of n -butyl stearate.
