En la primavera de 1476 un tamborilero y pastor de ovejas llamado Hans Böhm tuvo una visión de la Virgen María en la pequeña localidad de Niklashausen que le llevó a predicar un discurso radicalmente crítico y contestatario. En este artículo analizaré a modo de microhistoria la marcha y la rebelión que desencadenó esta protesta en el pequeño valle del Tauber. In the spring of 1476, a drummer and sheepherder called Hans Böhm had a vision of the Virgin Mary in the small town of Niklashausen that led him to preach a radically critical and contentious discourse against the local authorities. In this article, I will analyze through a microhistorical lens the march and rebellion that triggered this protest in the small Tauber valley.
