This study established an experimental strategy to identify effective factors for cell transplantation in Parkinson's disease (PD) based on comparison of several brain environments. Neurexophilin 3 was identified as a new supportive factor for cell transplantation and may be a useful biomarker for PD patients. These findings are expected to promote in vivo and in vitro applications of stem cell technology.
