Resumen: Este artículo es una aproximación a la cuestión de las actitudes y los sentimientos que subyacen en los fenómenos de la religiosidad popular del siglo XVIII sevillano, centrándose en el caso de la Semana Santa y las hermandades de penitencia. Se analizan las causas principales de los conflictos cofrades y se exponen ejemplos significativos de una amplia tipología de los mismos.
Abstract: This article is an approach to the question of attitudes and feelings that underlie the phenomena of popular religiosity of the eighteenth century Seville, focusing on the case of Easter and the brotherhood of penance. We analyze the causes of conflict are examples brothers and significant from a wide typology of them.
