De este modo, la presencia de una delegación del Valle de Arán en la asamblea herética de Saint-Félix de Caraman en 1167 y la mención de «Leridam» como límite meridional de la iglesia disidente, son dos indicios que señalan la antigüedad de los primeros contactos con la herejía, así como sus principales vías de propagación.
The Charter of Niquinta is a controversial document that, nevertheless, contains some keys which can be very useful to establish the fundamental bases for the penetration of Catharism in Catalonia. Thus, the presence of a delegation of the Valley of Aran in the heretical Council of Saint-Félix-de-Caraman in 1167 and the mention of «Leridam» as the southern boundary of the dissident church are two signs that show the antiquity of the first contacts with the heresy, as well as its main ways of spreading.
