With the 2016 election season behind us, 2017 promises to be an eventful year in Washington, D.C. A new administration in the White House, six new members of the US Senate, and 57 new members of the House of Representatives will bring a need for education and advocacy on behalf of the drinking water sector. This article provides an estimation of what could happen in Washington in the coming year and what it could mean for the drinking water sector, as well as how AWWA will work with the new administration and Congress to advance priorities important to protecting public health through safe drinking water.
