When professional engineers offer hands‐on, project‐based learning to students, the collaboration is beneficial for both groups, as well as the community in which they live. The connection is especially valuable to students who are made aware of the diverse opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers through this process.
