This article provides an overview of the AWWA white paper ‐ Water and Hydraulic Fracturing ‐ that was requested by AWWA's Water Utility Council in response to increasing oil and natural gas development and the difficulty many utilities have experienced in seeking balanced and authoritative information on this issue.
