The use of Internet of Things (IoT) has intensified in the current decade, and this paper demonstrates how it can help solve problems regarding forecast, analyses and study of meteorological variables in several points of small areas. When applying the concept of IoT in meteorological instrumentation, looking forward to build a high cost-effective prototype of an embedded system, costing hundredths of a professional station, capable of gather and share meteorological data with precision and high frequency, which are essential in applications such as nowcasting.
