The objective of this study was to establish limits of experimental precision to guide mate tree researchers. Coefficient of variation of experimental data published in thesis, journals and annals of congresses were used. Coefficient of variation above 29.4% and 52.8%, respectively for green mass and percentage of roots in seedings traits are considered to have very low precision.
