Turismo, globalização e a integração cultural da América Latina

Este trabalho tem como intuito analisar o papel do turismo no processo de integração cultural da América Latina, dentro do contexto de um mundo globalizado. A América Latina possui como desafio promover o desenvolvimento humano e buscar a solução de suas inúmeras dificuldades de forma conjunta, atenuando assim, os seus problemas sociais. Muitas são as singularidades existentes entre os países da América Latina, sendo que em virtude das características geográficas, políticas e socioculturais o senso de unidade entre os países da região ainda não se encontra fortificado, mesmo com a existência de ferramentas globais. Assim, atividade turística poderia auxiliar na integração sociocultural da América Latina e promover o desenvolvimento socioeconômico da região.  This paper is meant to examine the role of tourism in the process of cultural integration of Latin America within the context of a globalized world. Latin America has the challenge of promoting human development and seek to resolve her many problems jointly, thereby mitigating the social problems. There are many peculiarities among the countries of Latin America, and because of characteristics geographics, politics and culturies the sense of unity among the countries of the region is not yet entrenched, even with the existence of global tools. So, tourism could help in social and cultural integration of Latin America and promote the social and economic development of the region.
