Eu professor?! Entre vivências e diálogos / Am I teacher?! Between experiences and dialogues

O presente trabalho buscou de modo sucinto discutir a importância da formação de professores de Geografia na atualidade. Para isso foram realizadas leituras de obras acerca do tema de autores como Nóvoa (2006), Tardif (2011), Freire (2008), Callai (2013), entre outros, bem como foram realizadas investigações com os licenciandos do curso de Geografia da Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná, campus de Francisco Beltrão. Vale destacar que essas averiguações ocorreram por meio da análise dos relatórios de Estágios Supervisionados que os licenciandos elaboraram no término da disciplina, nos anos de 2010 a 2017. Durante esse período também foram sistematizadas na forma de textos as opiniões apresentadas pelos licenciandos sobre as potencializadas e fragilidades da formação inicial, assim como as expectativas quanto à profissão professor. Nesse ensaio apresentam-se os principais elementos apontados pelos licenciandos, simultaneamente, procurou-se caracterizar brevemente o perfil desses licenciandos e refletir sobre a importância do papel do professor de Geografia. Longe de buscar extenuar o tema entende-se que a contribuição dessa discussão está na possibilidade de fomentar o debate em torno da formação de professores de Geografia, seu papel a sociedade atual e, também, a importância dessa profissão em tempos de incertezas.Palavras-chaves: estágio supervisionado em Geografia; licenciatura; professor de Geografia.AbstractThe present work sought succinctly to discuss the importance of the formation of teachers of Geography in the present time. For this, readings of works by authors such as Nóvoa (2006), Tardif (year), Paulo Freire (2008) and Callai (2013) were carried out, among others, and investigations were carried out with the graduates of the Geography course of the University State of Western Paraná, Francisco Beltrão campus. It is worth mentioning that these investigations took place through the analysis of reports of Supervised Internships, which the graduates prepare at the end of the course, from 2010 to 2017. During this period, the opinions expressed by the licenciandos on the weaknesses and potentials of the initial formation were also systematized in the form of texts, as well as the expectations regarding the teacher profession. In this essay we present the main elements pointed out by the licenciandos, simultaneously, we tried to characterize briefly the profile of these graduates and to reflect on the importance of the role of the professor of Geography.Far from trying to heal the subject, it is understood that the contribution of this discussion lies in the possibility of fomenting the debate about the formation of teachers of Geography, its role to the current society and also the importance of this profession in times of uncertainties.Keywords: supervised internship in Geography; graduation; geography teacher.
