With the proposal of a space for the rehabilitation and reintegration of abandoned dogs, the presentwork will address themes such as the importance of a shelter for these animals, how should care be taken from the moment they arrive at the center until the time when they will be prepared for reintegration through adoption. In addition, the importance of spaying these dogs to considerably decrease their breeding and, consequently, abandonment. The main objective is to propose a project that will bring solutios to the issues of abandonment in Presidente Venceslau, which suffers from the large number of animals on the streets, in danger of being run over and causing the proliferation of diseases, becoming also, a matter of public health for the city. Research methods were used in articles, magazines, books, booklets and statutes, in addition to surveys carried out in the field at the shelter created by the NGO ADAPV, which works voluntarily in the city.
