This article exposes the results of a survey of scientific research funded by the CNPq, entitled "in\udthe world of the child: rescuing the real fantasy in the context of early childhood education".\udStarting in 2011, followed productively until the end of the school year of 2014. Held in some early\udchildhood education – rooms I and II of a peripheral of a school municipality in the West, sought to\udstimulate children's imaginations-sometimes latent-and enlarge the playful and imaginative\udrepertoire of children and teachers, through jokes; of songs; of imaginary characters; borrowed\udtoy or made by the children themselves. Based on the Sociology of childhood, adopted the\udapproach of qualitative nature and methodology of intervention research, with a view to raising\udthe theoretical and practical reflections that could collaborate with changes in reality.\udObservations were carried out, notes in the field journal, pictures, dialogues with children and\udteachers, semi-structured questionnaires with parents. Emphasis on the recognition of the\udimportance of research for paisresponsáveis of children; the contentment with the toys children's\udbuilt in conjunction with the researcher; the greater participation and imaginative expression of\udthe proposed games children; the relevance of social relations, mainly with the pairs
