This article is dedicated to the analysis of the food habits of three rural communities in northwestern\udParaná, Brazil, family farming, they are: Pirapitinga, Marajó and Santa Rita. For this, we use the\udtheoretical contribution of the anthropology of food, proposing a reflection of a qualitative nature,\udfrom the social function, related to the concept of culture, whose assumption is that cultural\udconstructions determine what is edible in each community. It is understood that the relative\udbehavior of food is an effective tool for understanding the dynamics of social relations, showing\udcultural, historical, economic and environmental factors. An ethnographic methodology and analysis\udof 45 semi-structured interviews, we seek the understanding and analysis of the process of identity\udconstruction, supply, its structure, organization and values
