This research is a result of Labor Completion of course in Physical Education from the Faculdade\udde Ciências e Tecnologia - UNESP. At the time, through historical research, were sought answers to\udquestions that relate to the construction process of motivation in physical education classes. Thus,\udto observe and analyze the facts related to the topic, especially since the dawn of Physical\udEducation at the end of the nineteenth century to the present day, there is political influences\udevery moment of Brazilian history in the constitution of the curricular component, as well as how\udmany teachers mediated / mediating knowledge, and how they interacted / interact with their\udstudents. Putting in place procedures hygienists, eugenicists, militaristic and esportivistas, in which\udthe body culture has always been without meaning and significance to a significant portion of their\udstudents, physical education until the 1980s could not show their social legitimacy. And it is on this\udframework, through the support of epistemological critical approach surpassing in Physical\udEducation which advocates a pedagogical-praxis that is capable of motivating students for active\udparticipation across the curriculum component, so that students can motivated to appropriating\udknowledge produced by human gender
