This article is to present the conception of environment in the work of Winnicott, its repercussion about the comprehension of the child emotional development and about the performance of the therapist with psychoanalytic orientation. From this study we could observe that besides the interpretation the therapist can have more resource during his performance: the therapy handling. This article is the result of a bibliographic study of the winnicottian theory, from the texts of own Winnicott and the other authors that discuss on his theory. We have concluded that the comprehension of the environment shown, offers the therapist one more resource to provide an environment sufficiently good during his clinical performance
