The basic believe that animals, as well men, are capable of sustain consciousness states is analysedhere. In order to approach this thorny subject we can not avoid to ask about the existence of criterions to gaugethose states to animals. The investigations of which would be those criterions and what are their justification basesconstitute the scope of this present article.
