Modern scientific determinism as a parameter for the endurance of scholastic education spirit is herediscussed. The belief in a regular and foreseeable world has helped to annihilate the respect for individuality and hasfostered the pedagogy of repetition and dependency. The current scientific revolution abandons simplified modelsand advocates the end of convictions. It is the threshold of a time in which the individual must perfect his/herintellectual tools for everyday encounters thus opening new horizons for educational utopias.
