The realization of a physical arrangement study is an importantaction to ensure that the facilities are in accordance with the currentlegislation and with the processes performed by the organizations. Theobjective of this study is the elaboration of a physical arrangement projectapplied to a roasting and milling plant for special coffee, which follows therecommendations of standards established by the Ministry of Labor andEmployment. The project considers the necessary resources, so thatequipment and employees perform their functions efficiently. Regarding themethodology, the study presents an exploratory approach with the aid ofcomputational programs for the development of the physical arrangement.The results obtained demonstrate that the analysis and knowledge of theproductive processes are of extreme relevance for the adequate elaboration ofa physical arrangement, that directly impacts the productive operations of afactory.
