This article aims to describe an experience of using\udRobocode tool to support programming education in order to\udstimulate interest in programming for students of the Federal Institute\udof Goiás Information Systems. The experience was the organization\udand implementation of one Robocode championship. At the end of this\udit was developed a survey of participating students in relation to the\udactivity carried out in order to verify the reports of these in relation to\udthe applied tool. Finally we present the results found that according to\udthe students, the Robocode can be an appropriate tool to use in\udprogramming discipline, making it more fun and interesting, through\udreal practical activities. The observed results include development of\udnew skills and logical reasoning, increased capacity, improvement of\udknowledge, encouragement and motivation to study and teamwork.\ud\u
