Exposure to ultraviolet rays has caused the increased\udincidence of skin cancer, usually associated with changes in the DNA\udstructure. Genome databases allow public access to DNA sequences\udthat can be compared and analyzed, such as the P53 gene, related to\udthe type of skin cancer with the highest incidence. This research aims\udto establish methodologies for comparative analysis of nucleotide\udsequences for the assessment of environmental impacts.\udInvestigations aiming to determine the most frequent mutations in the\udgene databases populations from countries with contrasting\uddifferences are being held. The original gene sequence is compared\udRecebido em: 10/08/2014_\udAprovado em: 28/08/2014\udSequências genômicas e câncer de pele\ud2\udColloquium Exactarum, v. 6, n.3, Set-Out. 2014, p.01 –09.
