T he emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV2), and the subsequent announcement by the World Health Organization of a global pandemic, has altered health care across the public and private sectors. Clearly, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID19) is having a huge impact on general practitioners, emergency physicians, respiratory physicians, intensivists and related staff, and is also impacting the daytoday delivery of chronic health care.
