An unusual case of Coxiella burneti infection is described in which the patient presented with an “acute abdomen” and marked clinical icterus. This case emphasizes that Q‐fever may appear as acute hepatitis and illustrates its “characteristic” histopathological lesions which have been recognized only recently.
